this family...

always takes some of my most favorite pictures. the kids have so much personality and the mom and dad are great. it's like having two more of me to help with the pictures. it was lots of fun to shoot these and i think they turned out great.

it's been forever...

since this family has had a family photo taken{only 1 and a 1/2 kids long ago.} i'm so glad we were able to do one while thomas was home for christmas from college. ramona you have a wonderful family. i just had to get a few up for you to see before christmas.

this time dad came along for the ride...

he was great he made everyone laugh. they should bring him along more often. such a fun family. their youngest alway asks me if we have to be finished when we're done doing pictures together. i love that he enjoys the sessions as much as i do. he just loves the camera and not even his family, try as they might can distract him from it.

as a side note it's been just over a year since i started mismatched stripes photography. and as i've been posting tonight it made me realize that the women in these last two sessions are two of the biggest reasons i'm doing this at all. and my husband too, of course. they were the ones who told me i could do it. they are the ones that keep coming back and praising my work. so i just wanted to say thank you. thank you to all of you who have made this last year wonderful.

such a cute family, to chase. but hey what else would you expect, especially from a three year old boy. although it may cause some stress for parents hoping to get a great family shot, it also makes for some great moments to be captured as well. here are a few of them. thanks for trying out this spot with me. i think it turned out really cool. i hope you like them.

one cute family...

we go way back. these cute 2 1/2 year old twins parents went to school with my brother-in-law. their dad was his best friend. some how we both ended up in texas after all these years. the night of our session i found out that they are expecting #3 this spring, congrats. i had so much fun following these two around, and love the results.

this shoot is doubling as christmas pictures for this family and i promised i wouldn't spoil it.

we were originally going to do this shoot the saturday that it rained like crazy. and unfortunately it rained away my field of flowers. despite the lack of flowers and the hot, sticky weather {that is now here to stay for far too long}, we got some great shots. such a sweet and cute family. i love that i was able to meet them. i definitely made some new friends. just look at those kids.
